It appears you have provided a great deal of material for use by atheists in their arguments for an old earth, which in turns confirms their belief there is no God…See http://www.patheos.com/blogs/danthropology/2014/08/ken-hams-10-facts-that-prove-creationism-debunked/. I am still studying new vs old earth/universe arguments & evidence myself and don’t have your credentials, but I honestly don’t think your website is helping build the church or kingdom of God.

My position is that it is the young-Earth creationist (YEC) organizations that provide plenty of fodder for the atheists. Most of the YEC geological teachings, whether about the age of the Earth or the origin of the rock and fossil record, are faulty scientifically, and this makes it easy for atheists to mock Christianity. Bad science is always a bad argument for the truthfulness of the Bible and Christianity, and in the end will backfire. Let it be the offense of the cross, not the offense of bad apologetics, that confronts the atheists.
Furthermore, much of what the YECs teach is not actually required by the Bible. I don’t think the YEC Biblical arguments for a young Earth are convincing; in fact, like many old-Earth Christians, I believe the YECs read far more into the Bible than what is actually there. This is especially true of YEC “flood geology,” which attempts to explain the origin of Earth’s geological features. The Bible does not say that Noah’s flood created the rock record, but YECs go to extraordinary lengths to try to fit everything from dinosaurs to ice ages into the pages of Scripture.
Am I building the church and the kingdom? That is my objective, but only God can answer that question. I am convinced, however, that when YEC teachers present questionable Biblical interpretations and bad science as infallible proofs of the Bible, they are not doing a good job of equipping the saints.
